Help Build a Great Community Together
Serve on a Redwood City Board, Commission or Committee
In order to tap into the wealth of skills, experience, and interest within our community, the City Council of Redwood City utilizes a number of appointed Boards, Commissions, and Committees (BCCs) to advise and make recommendations to the City Council and City staff on a wide variety of issues that are vital to our quality of life.
Public involvement is crucial to the City’s decision-making process, and these appointed advisory bodies, comprised of citizen volunteers, are an important and valued part of City government. By advising the City Council, bringing new ideas to the table, and representing diverse elements of our community, BCC members help the City Council to make the best, most informed decisions possible, for the benefit of the entire Redwood City community.
The Office of the City Clerk maintains a current list of City BCCs, the current seats available, and upcoming meeting dates and times. The City Clerk also assists the City Council by coordinating all appointments to these positions. Check out the current list of advisory bodies, which includes a roster of current members and their terms, meeting information, and specific provisions about membership on each BCC as applicable.
